Alice Margaret Larson was born February 26, 1916 in Waterbury Township to Nils Gustav and Lillian (Erickson) Wog. She attended country school through the eighth grade. On April 6, 1937 she married Albert Kretsch at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lamberton, MN. They farmed Albert's home farm in Wabasso for a few years. They then purchased Alice's home farm by Sanborn and farmed it until the farm accident and death of Albert. Alice moved into Springfield and on August 26, 1972 she married Harold Larson at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield. Harold died on June 23, 1995. She was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield, Home Extension, card clubs, and the St. Raphael's Sewing Club. Alice died on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at the St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield. She is survived by sons - Maynard and wife Anna Kretsch of Revere and Gary and wife Sandi Kretsch of North Mankato and their children - Amy Kretsch of Plymouth and David and wife Jen Kretsch of Maple Grove; a daughter - Joan and husband Ken Weicherding of New Ulm and their children - Pamela and husband Steve Banwell of St. Cloud and Susan and husband Mark Jacobson of Atlanta, GA; great grandchildren - Kendra and Baxter; step children - Gilbert and wife Beverly Larson of Springfield, Harold Larson of Stillwater, Lee Ann and husband Tom Silver of Plymouth, and Linda Overbey of Nekoosa, WI; and sisters-in-law - Arlene Wog of Sanborn and Leona Wog of Springfield. She is preceded in death by her parents - Nils Wog in 1930, Lillian (Erickson) Wog Lingholm Rethwill in 1978; husband - Albert Kretsch in 1967 and husband - Harold Larson in 1995; brothers - Orville Wog, Wilbert Pete Wog, and Daniel Lindholm; and a step-son - David Larson
