Alice Lydia Kettner was born on February 24, 1920, in Lamberton, MN, the daughter of Henry and Emma (Bast) Schiller. She was united in marriage to Emil L. Kettner on March 6, 1941 at Zion Lutheran Church in Lamberton. The couple farmed north of Springfield. Following Emil's death in 1967, Alice later moved to Lamberton and then returned to Springfield. She entered St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield in the spring of 1999. Alice was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield and enjoyed quilting. Alice died on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the age of 93 years. She is survived by her daughters - Ruth (Merlyn) Peterson of Springfield, MN and Janet (David) Mude of Morton, MN; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild, and sisters-in-law - Lillian Schiller of New Ulm, MN and Gean Schiller of AZ.
