Alice Fast

Memorials are preferred to Cornerstone Bible Church in Mountain Lake. On March 20, 1926, Alice was born to Peter and Anna (Friesen) Stoesz in Butterfield, Minnesota. A Class of 1944 graduate of Mt. Lake High School, Alice also took college classes at Mt. Lake Bible college. Alice was baptized at Cornerstone Bible Church where she was a lifelong member. On September 30, 1947 Alice married Harry J. Fast. Alice was a member of the church's Ladies Mission Society, the quilting guild, and taught Sunday School. She and Harry were delegates to FEBC Conference and she was active in MCC. She loved music and sang in a sextet and the German Singers. Alice also volunteered at the County Home Extension, and as a driver for RSVP. In her later years she worked at Eventide and privately, doing cleaning and cooking. The Cookie Grandma, Alice enjoyed working with young children. She made lots of quilts for special events, such as graduations and weddings. Alice is survived by sons: Ken (Jean) Fast, Windom, Myron (Dawn) Fast, Mt. Lake, and Eugene (Sheli) Fast, Windom, daughter, Diane Crawford, Hendersonville, TN, brothers: Jake (Nancy) Stoesz, Indianapolis, IN, and Larry (Suzanne) Stoesz, Hanska, sister, Darlene (Vern) Sharp, Mission Viejo, CA, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives, including daughter-in-law, Marcia Fast, Mt. Lake, and sister-in-law, Nancy Stoesz, Mt. Lake. Alice was preceded in death by her, parents, husband, sons: Randy and Dale Fast, brothers: Daniel and LeRoy Stoesz, sister, Verna Dirks, and great-grandson, Lucas.
