Aletta More

Aletta R. More was born on March 20, 1938 in Bernadotte, MN, the daughter of Wayne and Aletta (Thordson) Nagel. She moved with her family to Cosmos, Hanska, and later to Sleepy Eye. Aletta attended schools in Cosmos and Sleepy Eye, where she attended St. Mary's Catholic School. She married Richard A. More Sr. on August 2, 1958 in Sleepy Eye. Aletta worked for Tony Downs Food in St. James, Head Start in Sleepy Eye and was a volunteer at the Sleepy Eye Care Center and the Food Shelf. She was amember of Trinity Lutheran Church and attended Bible Study faithfully. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, going to garage sales, needle point, crafts, baking, cooking, and grill outs with her family. Aletta died on Thursday, June 16, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester at the age of 67 years. She is survived by her husband - Richard More Sr. of Sleepy Eye; children - Renea Johnson of Morgan, Rebecca and husband Paul Schroeder of Morton, Richard Jr of Sleepy Eye, Timothy of Waldorf, Wayne of Sleepy Eye, Brian of New Ulm, and Valerie and husband Stanley of Black Duck; 21 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brothers - Russell of Buffalo, MN and Henry of Morris Town, MN; and a sister - Ceceila Thenemann of Bay Town, TX. She is preceded in death by her son - Lyle Nagel; parents; brothers -Willy and Sylvester; and a sister - Reanette.
