Albert Anderson

Albert Rueben Anderson, Jr. was born May 24, 1912 in Burnstown Township, the son of Albert and Olga (Pederson) Anderson. On October 10, 1945 he was united in marriage to Etta Amelia Best on Etta's home farm in Prairieville Township. The couple made their home on Albert's home farm in Burnstown Township. Albert enjoyed raising cattle, playing harmonica, and listening to the Minnesota Twins. He was a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church in Springfield. Albert moved into Vista Ridge in 1996. Albert died on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the Springfield Medical Center at the age of 95 years. He is survived by his children - Ruth and husband Don Pauling of Mesa, AZ, Arthur and wife Brenda Anderson of Springfield, MN, and Ivan and wife Darlene Anderson of Springfield, MN; 9 grandchildren - Kari Hensch, Shari Batzlaff, Gregg Anderson, Jason Pauling, Mike Pauling, Lisa Pauling, Paul Anderson, Terry Anderson, and Wade Anderson; 8 great grandchildren; and a sister - Alvera Hirschey of Edina, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife - Etta in December of 1995; a son - Albert William Anderson in May of 1966; siblings - Carrie, Sidney, Mable, Goldie, Theodore, Elmer, Herbert, Clarence, Albert, Florence, Alice, and a baby boy.
