Agnes Irene 'Aggie' Johnson

Agnes Irene Hansen and her twin sister Alice were born September 24, 1927 near Tyler, Minnesota, the daughters of Peder and Anna Marie (Madsen) Hansen. Aggie grew up and attended school in the Tyler area. On September 6, 1945 she was united in marriage to Donald Johnson. The couple made their home in various towns in Minnesota and Iowa before moving to St. James in 1958. Aggie was a homemaker and would help Don out in his business. She enjoyed golfing, baking, was an accomplished seamstress, active in many church activities and groups. She also enjoyed visiting Jackpot Junction where she played bingo and the slot machines. Aggie also enjoyed playing Wednesday night bingo and the American Legion. Aggie loved spending time with her twin sister Alice. Alice would come to visit and could spend several months at a time. Aggie is survived by her daughters Donna (Max) Schroer of Denver, CO, Bonnie Ulve of Deephaven, MN, grandchildren; Patrick (Corry) Sullivan of Canton, SD, Kristofor (Jill) Swarthout of Minneapolis, Carey (Scott) King of Corpus Christi, TX, Jennifer (Dan) Conroy of Plymouth, Anna Marie (Sean) Colety of Denver, CO, 19 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and a sister Sylvia Woefle of Chaska, MN.
