Agnes Regina Dietz

Agnes was born on November 29, 1926 in Fairfax, MN, the daughter of George and Anna (Hild) Macheledt. She attended St. Andrew's Parochial School and graduated from Fairfax High School. After she graduated she married Leonard Dietz on August 12, 1946 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax. Agnes and Leonard resided in Sleepy Eye all of their married life. Agnes was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye, CCW, Christian Mothers and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, sewing, baking, gardening and playing her button accordion. Her grandchildren were the love of her life! Agnes died Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center at the age of 90. She is survived by her children, Robert Dietz of Sleepy Eye, Alice (Michael) Chernich of Golden Valley, Mary (Dennis) Macho of Eden Prairie, Diann (Brian) Wiederich of LeSueur, grandchildren, Selena, Connor and KaSondra Wiederich and Justin, Jen and Brandon Macho. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard in 2002, sister, Marie Rothenbacher and brothers, Alfred and George Macheledt.
