Adonna Evers

Adonna Mae Pohl was born February 1, 1934, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was baptized soon after and confirmed her faith in Jesus Christ at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeffers, in 1948. On August 13, 1952, she married James Siefkes. They had four children together. James went to be with his Savior on March 5,1965. On June 26, 1967, she married Robert Evers. They had two children together. Robert went to be with his Savior on January 2, 2014. Adonna was active at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeffers, and Salem Lutheran and New Hope Lutheran churches in Comfrey. She served as a Sunday School teacher and as a WELCA officer. She was involved in Ruth Circle and Ladies' Aid at New Hope and the St. John's Circle of Care Auxiliary Board in Springfield. She spent most of her life on the farm near Comfrey. She enjoyed gardening, canning and being a farmer's wife. She and Bob moved from the farm to Springfield in 2004, where she enjoyed birdwatching, Bible Studies and making cards to share with her friends and family. Serving her Savior and her family were the most important things in her life. On the morning of December 22, 2021, Adonna peacefully left her earthly home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ. Adonna is survived by her six children: Bradley (Aaron) Siefkes, Jeanine (Mike) Krzmarzick, Kent (Virginia) Siefkes, Leanne (Michael) DeMotts, Stacey (Chris) Vasecka and Robin Evers; her ten grandchildren: Brent (Jennie) Krzmarzick and Greg (Heather) Krzmarzick, Marissa and Jessica Siefkes, Emily and Garrett Evans, Bethany, Marcus, Katelyn and Benjamin Vasecka; her five great-grandchildren: Caiden, Chase Connor, Landon and Ian Krzmarzick; her siblings: Delmer Barker, Carol Pautzke and Arlene Meier. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James Siefkes and second husband, Robert Evers; her grandson, Kyle Krzmarzick; her siblings: Gary Barker, Edward, Alfred, Louis, George, Albert, Carl and Lester Pohl, Agnes Arends, Esther Barker and Elfrieda DeHarpporte. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to New Hope Lutheran Church or the Christian Worship Hour. The family wishes to thank all those who expressed their condolences or gave memorials. The service will be livestreamed via Facebook Live - New Hope Lutheran Church, for those who are unable to attend. You do not need to belong to Facebook to watch.
