Adeline Ubl

Adeline was born on July 22, 1916 in Wellington Township, Renville County, MN to the late Gustav Ida (Bulau) Grams. Adeline graduated from Fairfax High School in 1934 and then from St. Andrew's Nurse's Training in 1937. She married George W. Ubl on September 5, 1939. Adeline worked as an RN in hospitals, camps, private homes, doctor's offices and was a tester for the state for 45 years. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye, VFW Auxiliary, Community Education, 4-H Leader, Senior Citizens Patch workers, Sleepy Eye Health Center Auxiliary, Home Extension Group and organized Fun-N-Games at Countryside. She received Outstanding Senior Citizen for Brown County and WCCO Good Neighbor Awards, both in 1987. She was a past member of Civil Defense, United Fund, Red Cross, Ladies Aid, the Choir and worked with the hot lunch program at St. John's. Adeline Alice Ubl, age 91, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on Friday, September 28, 2007 at her home in Sleepy Eye. Adeline is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Roger) Schneider of Sleepy Eye, 8 grandchildren, Denise Grossmann, Sue (Tom) Jensen, Dean (Patti) Schneider, Michelle Weilage, Deb (John) Hertling, Kris (Brad) Bode, Michael (Stephanie) Weilage, Dawn (Jason) Malacek, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Vernon Bud Grams, daughter, Georgene G.G. Rothmeier and son-in-law, Raymond Rothmeier.
