Adeline Turbes

Adeline Margaret Turbes was born January 28, 1915, in Morgan Township, Redwood County, the daughter of Nick and Mary (Bierl) Heiderscheidt. She attended country school in Morgan Township and was united in marriage to Bernard Turbes on May 2, 1936, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Morgan. The couple farmed in North Star Township from 1936-1965, then moved into Sanborn. Adeline was a former member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and St. Anna Society Catholic Aid, and was a current member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards, puzzles, Dalmation dog collectibles, and dancing. Adeline also enjoyed spending time at the lake, baking chocolate cake for her grandchildren, and loved being with her family and friends. Adeline Margaret Turbes died Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at the Springfield Medical Center at the age of 91 years. Survivors include children- Diane and husband Wayne Kastner of Sanborn, Dan and wife Linda Turbes of Fairfax, and Ron Turbes of Sanborn; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 10 great, great grandchildren; and sisters- Margaret Baune of Wabasso, Marcella Goche of Wabasso, Marie Morgan of Casa Grande, AZ, and Colletta Turbes of Sleepy Eye. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband- Bernard in 1998; brothers- Nick, Mike and Joe Heiderscheidt; sisters- Evelyn Heiling, Rita Irlbeck and Magdalene Steffensmeier; sister-in-law- Helen Heiderscheidt; and brothers-in-law- Alois Heiling, Edmund Baune, Dennis Goche, Bill Turbes and Melvin Irlbeck.
