Wava Carol Geiger was born on December 4, 1929 in Pandora, Ohio to Monroe and Anna (Hofstetter) Geiger. She graduated from Pandora High School. Following High School she attended Grace College of the Bible in Omaha, Nebraska where she met her future husband Harry Wiens. Harry and Wava were married on August 10, 1951 in Pandora, Ohio and made their home in Wheaton, Illinois until moving to Mountain Lake in 1952. Wava enjoyed passing on her love for music to her piano students. She taught many Mountain Lake children to play piano over the course of 50 years. Wava actively served as a member of the Community Bible Church of Mountain Lake as a church organist and pianist. Wava also worked as a therapy assistant for over 30 years at the Mountain Lake Good Samaritan Village. Wava's hobbies included gardening, flower arranging, and knitting. In the past three years Wava knitted over 100 sweaters which were distributed to children in third world countries. Wava is survived by her son Stan Lee (Jocelyn) Wiens, of Fargo, ND; two daughters: Reva Jo (Dennis) Hulzebos, of Mountain Lake and Kay Sue (Peter) Eriksson, of Bemidji, MN; eight grandchildren: Joshua (Jayna) Wiens, Jadon Wiens, Amberly Hulzebos, Travis (Shawna) Hulzebos, Jacob Eriksson, Micah Eriksson, Matthew Eriksson and Anna Eriksson and four great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a sister Lois (Peter) Voran, of Newton, KS and brothers: Wallace (Wanda) Geiger and Mahlon (Ann) Geiger, both of Pandora, OH. Wava was preceded in death by her husband Harry, parents, granddaughter: Kelsey Jo Hulzebos and a sister Treva Geiger.
