Victor Weiss

Victor J. Weiss was born on September 3, 1924 in Stark Township, MN, the son of Lawrence and Anna (Saffert) Weiss. He grew up and attended country school through 8th grade and then farmed with his family. Victor was united in marriage to Karen Saffert on December 21, 1974 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Sanborn. He worked at Sleepy Eye Auction Market and Farmers Elevator in the Fertilizer Division. His hobbies included, hunting, fishing, vegetable and flower gardening, farming, collecting toy tractors, watching westerns, playing cards, trap shooting, bowling, cooking, canning, and refinishing furniture. He enjoyed attending Adult Day Services at Ross Park. He is survived by wife, Karen of Sleepy Eye, two daughters, Christa (Dennis) Steffl of Leavenworth, Vicky and special friend Charles Moldan of Sleepy Eye, grandsons, Austin, Alex and Anden Steffl, two brothers, Sylvester Weiss of St. James, Linus Weiss of Sleepy Eye, five sisters, Viola Krueger, Lillian Riebel, Mary Doyle, all of Sleepy Eye, Margaret McSherry of Tallahasse, Fl and Florence Current of Delano, MN, mother-in-law, Doris Saffert of Sleepy Eye, many nieces and nephews and Toby, his Rat Terrier.
