Truman Leslie Johnson was born on April 1, 1938 in Lamberton, MN, the son of Gilbert and Luella (Slater) Johnson. Truman grew up in the Lamberton area. He served in the Army from 1957 until 1959. Truman was a welder and worked at Toro in Windom for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycles. He was a member of the Freedom Riders Motorcycle Club. Truman loved to just hang out with friends and family. Truman Johnson died on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society- The Village in Mountain Lake. He is survived by his children; Brian Johnson of Windom, Todd (Julie) Johnson of Mountain Lake, Tami (Dan) Schroeder of Lakefield, James (Susan) Johnson of Worthington, Jeremy (Jodi) Johnson of Windom, 8 grandchildren; Jacob (Tylyn), Brady, Logan, Alyssa, Caitlyn, Madison, Rebekah, Morgan, 3 great-grandchildren; Carson, Aleigha, MaddiLynn, a brother Gilbert Johnson, Jr. of Silver Bay, MN, and a sister-in-law Diane Johnson of Windom. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Marvin and infant Lloyd, and sister-in-law Diane Johnson.
