Samane Onesyvongsa

Samane "Aleng" Onesyvongsa, age 62 of Mountain Lake, formerly of Laos, was called to sleep in Jesus on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the Windom Area Hospital. The Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mountain Lake at 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 26. The Visitation will be at the church, one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Mountain Lake City Cemetery. Samane "Aleng" Onesyvongsa was born on December 3 in 1949 to Choum and Phanh Onesyvongsa in Oganigh, Kahmtong, Kongsedon, Saravanh, Laos. He was married to Mali Wan in Ta Meung in 1970. They have two children. Because of the war, Samane had to flee Loas and his family in 1977. In 1980 Samane came to Florida, he then moved to New York, NY. In 1984 he moved to Minneapolis, MN and in 1990 he moved to Saint Charles, MN. He settled Mountain Lake, MN in 2005 and worked for Schwartz Farms. On December 17, 2006, Samane was baptized in the name of the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Samane trusted Jesus as his Savior and was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, in Mountain Lake. Samane has many friends, who will greatly miss him.
