Rudolph H. Junker was born on September 30, 1909 in Selma Township, Cottonwood County, MN to Henry and Fenna (Garrels) Junker. He attended country school in Cottonwood County. After school he stayed on the family farm and farmed until he married Agnes Duerksen on September 30, 1931. They moved to a farm near Darfur. In 1947 they moved to rural Butterfield and bought a farm. After 35 years of marriage, Agnes passed away on March 22, 1968. Rudolph remarried on December 30, 1968 to Dorothy Falk and moved to Mountain Lake. After selling their home, they moved to the Laker Apartments in 1987, and then to Good Samaritan Village in 2006. On February 28, 2010 Dorothy passed away. Rudolph enjoyed farming, fishing, and spending time with his family. His birthdays were always a highlight for him, especially his 100th birthday celebration. Rudolph is survived by 4 chidlren: Elvin Junker of Mankato, MN, Ralph (JoAnn) Junker of Butterfield, MN, Glen (Joanne) Junker of St. James, MN, and Iona (James) Hovdet of Butterfield, MN; 3 step-children: Norman (Vickie) Falk of North Branch, MN, Walter (Janice) Falk of Windom, MN, and Donna Harder of Stillwater, MN; 27 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Agnes Junker; his second wife Dorothy Falk Junker; step-son-in-law, Edward Harder; daughter-in-law, Sonja Junker; four brothers, Ben Junker, Gust Junker, Henry Junker and Uko Junker and five sisters, Henrietta Junker, Carrie Lingbeek, Elizabeth Kleinow, Aleide Evers and Fannie Werner.
