Rozalyn Bernice Jeckell

Rozalyn Bernice (Engeswick) Jeckell was born on April 26th, 1946, to Russell and Bernice Engeswick in Springfield, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at Highwater Lutheran Church in rural Lamberton and attended Lamberton Public School, graduating in 1964. She furthered her education at Mankato Business College and worked at Prudential in Minneapolis before marrying the love of her life, Elmer Jeckell on April 8th, 1967. The couple resided on their farm in rural Lamberton for nearly 40 years where she raised her boys, helped on the farm and worked for French Ag Research, before moving to Lamberton in 2006. Rozalyn was an active member and volunteer at Highwater Lutheran Church and with the Lamberton Legion Auxiliary. Throughout the years, she enjoyed knitting, traveling and wouldnt be known to turn down any opportunity to shop. Her biggest joy in life was time spent with her family, her boys and her grandchildren, of which she was so very proud of. She held friendships very close to her heart; friends of hers were loved like family. Rozzie always had a kind heart, a smile that made you feel special, a good sense of humor, a gift to give, a picture to take, and a story to share. She was a wonderful person and added joy to all of our lives. She will be missed and always remembered. Rozalyn, surrounded by family, died on April 7th, 2022 just shy of her and Elmers 55th wedding anniversary at the farm where they built their life together, at the age of 75. She is survived by her husband Elmer; children – Jonathan (Katie) of Silvis, Illinois, Christopher (Susan) of Lamberton, Stephen of Lamberton; grandchildren – Zachary, Hannah and Collin Jeckell, Sawyer, Brady, Emma and Paisley Jeckell, Colton, Levi and Ty Jeckell; brother - Jay (Lynnette) Engeswick. Rozalyn was preceded in death by her parents - Russell and Bernice Engewsick and daughter - Julie Jeckell.
