Rodney Lee Byro

Rodney Lee Byro, age 67, of Madelia, MN, died on June 9, 2021, at Living Meadows at Luther in Madelia. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church-Madelia and will continue on Wednesday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at the church. Service will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church-Madelia, on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 10:30 am. The clergy will be Rev. Janine Olson. Interment will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Madelia. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home, Pilgrim Chapel in Madelia. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com. Rodney Lee Byro was born on June 19th, 1953, to LeRoy and Della (Fobes) Byro in Madelia. He graduated from Madelia High School in 1971 and went on to college in Crookston, MN. He worked as a heavy machine operator in Montana, Utah, Texas, New Jersey and Minnesota. He last worked for the City of Lake Crystal and served on the Riverside Cemetery Board in Madelia for many years. In his free time, Rodney enjoyed gardening, riding his motorcycles and visiting with friends. He had a special bond with his nieces and nephews and loved spending time with them and sharing his hobbies with them. After Rodney survived a motorcycle accident in 2012, his life was changed but his personality and kind hearted nature continued to shine through. The loving bond between his family and friends was not lost and will never be lost. Rodney is survived by his siblings, Kathy Boutwell of Madelia, Jim Byro of Madelia, Susan Miller of New Orleans, LA, Kenneth (Lori) Byro of Lake Crystal; nieces and nephews, Teresa (Ryan) Davis, Joann Boutwell, Laura (Preston) Roloff, Connor Byro, Taylor Byro, and Skylor Byro; great nieces and nephews, Keyan, Aryanna, Henry Roloff, Griffin and Josslyn Davis.
