Raymond Tauer

There will be a parish prayer service Thursday at the funeral home at 7pm. Raymond William was born on June 27, 1921 in Mulligan Township, Brown County, MN the son of Michael Margaret (Reiniger) Tauer. Ray married Adella Helget on June 3, 1946 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. The couple made their home in Lake Hanska Township for many years where Ray farmed and worked at Tony Downs. Ray enjoyed fishing, traveling, gardening and driving around Lake Hanska. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include, his wife Adella of rural Hanska, children, Richard (Kathi) of Surprize, AZ, Marie (Richard) Raden of Redwood Falls, Tom (Pam) of Richmond, VA, Dennis Luke of Sleepy Eye, Cletus (Patty) of Sleepy Eye, Marlys (Larry) Decker of Waverly, MN, Marlin of Sleepy Eye, Eileen of New Ulm, Douglas of Hanska, Diane (Jim) Reed of Darfur, Monica (Robert) Farasyn of New Ulm, Pat (Linda) of Sleepy Eye, Wayne of San Antonio, TX and Gary of Hanska, 23 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, siblings, Edwin (Agnes) of Sleepy Eye, Delores (Jerome) Kral of Sleepy Eye, Alice (Donald) Sellner of Comfrey and Robert (Darlene) of Hanska, brothers and sisters - in law, Donna Helget of Sleepy Eye and Lucille (Robert) Brand of New Ulm. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Linus (Doris) Tauer and sister, Laura (Florian) Wurtzberger.
