Paul Quiring

Paul Quiring, the son of Peter A and Katherine (Lepp) Quiring was born on September 12, 1910 in Delft, MN. He grew up on a farm near Delft and received his education at District 165 country school in Carson Township. On June 9, 1935, Paul was baptized upon confession of his faith and received as a member of the Bergfelder Church (now Lakeview Gospel Church) near Mountain Lake, MN. Paul was united in marriage to Anna Dick on April 16, 1936 at the Bergfelder Church. They made their home and farmed together near Delft for two years before moving to a farm near Mountain Lake. In 1969 they moved into Mountain Lake. Paul served as a member of the District 12 country school board, enjoyed travel, woodworking and working in his shop, and he loved spending time with his family. Paul died on Tuesday morning, November 17, 2009 at the University Good Samaritan Center in Minneapolis, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Betty Jean Green; two brothers, Peter and Henry Quiring; and two sisters, Elizabeth Neufeld and Agatha Fast. Paul is survived by his wife, Anna Quiring of Mountain Lake; two sons, Harold Quiring and his wife Leota Hall of Mountain Lake, and Lowell Quiring and his wife Karen of Hermann, MO; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
