Paul Herman 'Tuffy' Arduser

Paul Herman "Tuffy" Arduser, age 83, passed away peacefully at the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia, Minnesota on Friday, October 5, 2018. Paul was born November 7, 1934 to Herman and LaVerna (Arndt) Arduser in Madelia. He was baptized in 1935 at the Presbyterian Church and confirmed in 1949 at Salem Lutheran Church, Madelia. Paul attended school in Madelia and enjoyed playing football, where he received many awards. In 1958, Paul enlisted in the United States Army. Paul served in Germany and was honorably discharged in 1964. He received many Army medals and badges. Paul married Janette Ann Glienke on August 20, 1966 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville, Minnesota. They made their home in Madelia and had two children from their marriage. Janette died on October 20, 1984 after battling cancer. Paul worked for many years at the Madelia turkey plant, and Golden Pantry in Madelia. After retirement, Paul co-owned a picture frame shop for several years. He was a faithful member of Salem Lutheran Church in Madelia where he served as an elder. Paul enjoyed many hobbies, such as gardening, hunting, and fishing. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Paul is survived by his two children, Christopher (Jody) Arduser of Madelia, Lynn (Gregory) Reinhardt of Henderson, Minnesota; three grandchildren, Mikayla, Mason and Kaiden Reinhardt; and three step-grandchildren, Rose, Jacob and Claire Hruby; brothers, George (Delores) Arduser of Mason City, Iowa, and Berle (Shelia) Freeman of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; and one sister, Margaret Yaxtheimer of San Lorenzo, California. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janette in 1984, and his brother-in-law, Les Yaxtheimer.
