Mary Lou Schubbe was born on May 20, 1929 in Northstar Township, Brown County, MN, the daughter of Herman August and Marie Louise (Haseleu) Voge. Mary Lou was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield. She graduated from Springfield High School. She married Elwin H. Schubbe of Mapleton, MN on September 9, 1951 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield. Mary Lou was employed at the Springfield Creamery, Sanborn Manufacturing and Zytec of Redwood Falls and retired on December 31, 1997. Mary Lou was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield where she enjoyed singing in the church choir. She also enjoyed dancing, golfing, bowling, playing cards, collecting coins and matchbooks and loved being outdoors. Mary Lou died on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield at the age of 80 years. She is survived by a brother Alfred Voge of Tracy and sisters - Arlene and husband Norman Krebs of Sleepy Eye, and Marge and husband Chuck Schwartz of Tracy. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, a brother - Alvin Voge and wife Tina; a sister - Edna and husband Elmer; a half brother - Gerald Kettner; and a sister-in-law - Betty Voge.
