Mary Schroeder

Mary Ann Schroeder was born February 15, 1943, in Springfield, MN the daughter of Erwin and Carrie (Christiansen) Schenk. She graduated from Springfield High School and was united in marriage to Richard Schroeder in 1966 in Springfield. The couple lived in Stately Township and Mary worked at AUI in Sleepy Eye for several years. Mary enjoyed fishing, traveling, her dogs, the computer, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Mary Schroeder died Thursday, February 2, 2012, at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato. She is survived by children- Tom (Mary) Schroeder, Audrey (John) Matter, Paul (Becky) Schroeder, Donald (Wanda) Schroeder, Alan (Dawn) Schroeder, Robert Schroeder, David Schroeder, and Mike Schroeder; 19 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother Alvin (Angie) Schenk; sister Ruth (Eldon) Hartwigson; and brother-in-law Dennis Whitney. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard in 2009; a granddaughter in infancy; brother Erwin 'Sonny'; and sister Linda.
