Mark Helget

Mark Yogie L. Helget was born on August 20, 1954 in Sleepy Eye, MN, the son of Delmar W. and Agnes E. (Hoffmann) Helget. While growing up on the farm he attended country school and then graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1972. During his lifetime he was employed at various jobs while always helping with farm work. Mark drove truck for Del Monte in Sleepy Eye, worked at Mathiowetz Construction and the Farmers Coop of Sleepy Eye. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, refurbishing antique tractors and the history of our country. Mark was a kind, giving and generous son, brother and uncle. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Catholic United Financial. Survivors include his mother, Agnes Helget of Sleepy Eye; brothers and sisters; Julie (Jeff) Windschitl of Comfrey, Franny (Cindy) Helget of Sleepy Eye, Germaine (Wayne) Michels of Hanska, Geri (Steve) Vogel of Lake Crystal, Anthony Helget, Paul Helget, Medard Helget, Timothy (Connie) Helget all of Sleepy Eye, Colette (Tim) Smith of Mankato, nieces and nephews, Andrew and Adam Windschitl, Robyn Helget, Brandon and Justin Hoffmann, Jacob and Jesse Michels, Josh Vogel, Matthew, Tyler, Ashley, and Allison Helget.
