Marjorie Sorenson

Marjorie Sorenson age 87, of Lamberton, MN died on December 24, 2020, at Carris Health - Redwood Area Hospital. A private service will be held. Marjorie Alice (Horsman) Sorenson, 87, of Lamberton, entered her eternal home on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Carris Health - Redwood Falls hospital. Marge was born October 27th, 1933 in Tracy MN to Clyde and Catharine(Prouty) Horsman. She graduated from Tracy High School and moved to Redwood Falls to work as a telephone operator. During this time she also participated in various pageants throughout the area eventually earning the title of "Miss Redwood Falls".Marge was united in marriage to James Sorenson on November 3rd, 1956 in Lamberton. They farmed together north of Lamberton the majority of their married life. Marge was an active member of the Lamberton Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School and was involved in the Christian Workers ladies' group. She was also a member of the Country Brushes art club, neighborhood ladies' Extension club, and contributed many hours to the 4H program while her children were members.She enjoyed flower gardening, baking, canning, and was a talented artist. She was often commissioned throughout the years by friends and family for various art projects. Many within her community and beyond still enjoy owning one of her beautiful oil paintings. In later years, she very much enjoyed bowling with a local couples league.Most of all, Marge was dedicated to her family and always cherished time spent with them. Through life's ups and downs she never lost her faith, her positive spirit, and vibrant smile. We will miss the sound of her laughter. Marge was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Virginia, two brothers, Neil and David, son Timothy, and great-granddaughter Cadence. Surviving Marge are her husband Jim, daughter Lynn(Terry) Collins of St. Cloud, son Daniel(Donna) of Albany, grandchildren Eliah, Micah(Allison), Jared and Gage Collins, Samantha(Ben) Huber, Benjamin(Kristina) Sorenson, Brittany(Mason) Pantano, and 8 great-grandchildren. _
