Marion Mary Hillesheim was born on July 14, 1918 in Stark Township, Brown County, MN, the daughter of Meinrad Bertha (Wiltscheck) Hillesheim. She married Arthur J. Sellner on October 15, 1947 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. Marion and Art farmed South of Sleepy Eye for 34 years before moving to town 29 years ago. Faith and family were the center of her life, always concerned about their welfare and remembering them in her prayers. She was actively involved in her church and community; a member of the CCW, Divine Providence Auxiliary, Christian Mothers and Catholic Aid Association. Marion Art were honored for their service to St. Mary's with the Spirit of St. Mary's Award. She also volunteered at the Next-Tu-Nu. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, canning, quilting and reading. Her family friends enjoyed her cooking talent. She is survived by her husband, Arthur of Sleepy Eye, children, Theresa Thomas of Chanhassen, Anna Marie (Craig) Gifford of Balaton, Margaret (Larry) Mages of Lafayette, Mary Jane (Martin) Hoffmann of Sleepy Eye, David (MaDonna) Sellner of Sleepy Eye, Linda (Paul) Schroepfer of Sleepy Eye, 25 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, brothers, Sylvester of Springfield, Meinrad of Sleepy Eye sister-in-law, Sophie Kral of Sleepy Eye. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, George Thomas, sisters, Hattie Guggisberg, Leona Braulick, Martha Neyers, Rosella Ludwig, brothers, Charles, Clarence, Raymond, Kenneth, Arnold, sisters-in-law, Irene Hillesheim, Veronica Hillesheim, Gertrude Hillesheim, Mary Hillesheim brothers-in-law, Ed Guggisberg, Elmer Neyers, Melvin Braulick Leonard Ludwig.
