There will be a Parish Prayer Service on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Marie Cecelia Roiger was born April 3, 1921, in Morgan, MN the daughter of Frank and Grace (Feilmeier) Irlbeck. She was united in marriage to Alfred Fuchs on September 24, 1941, in Morgan and the couple farmed in Redwood and Brown counties. Alfred died on March 10, 1979. Marie was then married to Perry Roiger on November 7, 1982, at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield and the couple lived in the Springfield area. Following Perry's death on May 23, 2004, Marie continued to live in Springfield and became a resident of St. John Lutheran Home in September of 2009. She was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church and the CCW. Marie enjoyed gardening, playing cards, bingo, and having coffee with friends and relatives. Marie Cecelia Roiger died Monday, December 14, 2009, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield at the age of 88 years. She is survived by son Greg and wife Diane Fuchs of Sleepy Eye; grandchildren- Deanna (George) Schwint of Hutchinson, Tony Fuchs and Paul Fuchs of Sleepy Eye, and Andrea (Brandon) Kuelbs of Sleepy Eye; 2 great-grandchildren; step-children- Diane Lang of Springfield, Phyllis (Lynn) Weber of Sanborn, Lenis (Roxanne) Roiger of Sanborn, Duane (Jan) Roiger of Springfield, Gary (Pat) Roiger of Springfield, Alan (Paula) Roiger of Sanborn, and Arland (Cher) Roiger of Springfield; 27 step-grandchildren; 24 step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alfred in 1979; husband Perry in 2004; 2 step-granddaughters; 6 brothers; and 3 sisters.
