Marian was born on October 22, 1930 in Sleepy Eye, MN to Margaret (Seidl) Emil Martinka. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1948. Marian married Jerome Choke Koll on October 22, 1951 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Together they raised four children. Marian was a loving mother, wife and homemaker and she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Marian was a familiar name to women's bowling in Sleepy Eye and was named to the Sleepy Eye Women's Bowling Hall of Fame in 1999. She belonged to many associations and clubs, including Christian Mothers Society, Catholic Aid Association, CCW, VFW Post 800 Auxiliary, and the Sleepy Eye Golf Club. Marian enjoyed time with her friends in the Morning Glories Extension Group. She was a very special person and touched many hearts at St. John Lutheran Home where she lived for the past three years. She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Jerome Choke of Sleepy Eye, children, Tom (Karen) of Oakdale, Lynette (John) Lundgren of North Mankato, Dean (Liz) of Glenwood Springs, CO, Kayla (Ken) Hanus of Chanhassen, 4 grandchildren, Jeff (Emily), Katie, Emilie and Ali, brother, Emil (Mildred) Martinka, brother-in-law, Leroy Koll, sisters-in-law, Delores Rothmeier, Dorothy Kalkhoff, Mary Lou Mathiowetz, Agnes Koll, Florence Koll and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Sylvester Martinka, sister, Margaret Schnobrich, and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
