Margaret Penn

Margaret Frances Penn (McNabb), 91 years 7 months old, died on Monday afternoon December 17th at the Pleasant View Nursing home in St James where she had been residing since June, 2012. Previously she was a residence of Brandt Ridge from 2007-2012. Her parents were John Henry and Addie Gail (Gants) McNabb. Margaret Frances McNabb was born in Charles City, Iowa on May 12, 1921 and married Frank LeRoy Penn on February 1, 1942 at the Grace Methodist Church, in Waterloo, Iowa. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Frank Penn, December 24th, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary (Lyle) Wagoner and her brother Rev. Robert(Doris) McNabb. Margaret is survived by two sons, LeRoy (Tamie) of Spanaway, WA and Eric(Laurel) of St James, MN, three grandchildren, Chad Penn of St James, MN, Carlie (Brian) Olson of Hanska and Cory (Hannah) Penn of Rochester, MN and five great grandchildren, Tanner, Cooper Sawyer Olson of Hanska and Kayla Khloe Penn of Rochester, MN, her sister in law, Doris McNabb of Honolulu, Hawaii, and nieces and nephews. Margaret was a full time homemaker and enjoyed playing cards, working with plants, crafts, reading, sewing and using the computer. She attended school in Waterloo, Iowa and lived in the Cedar Falls and Waterloo, Iowa area until moving to St James, Minnesota in 2005 to be closer to her family. Pall bearers are Eric Penn, Chad Penn, Cory Penn, and Brian Olson. Honorary Pall bearers are Tanner, Cooper and Sawyer Olson and Kayla and Khloe Penn.
