Luthera Arnone

Luthera Elizabeth Arnone was born September 25, 1922, in Westford Township, Martin County the daughter of John and Margaret (Subbert) Albers. She was baptized October 8, 1922, and confirmed May 23, 1937. Luthera was united in marriage to Roland Arends in June of 1940. She later married Ed Weiss in 1972 and lastly was wed to Ernie Arnone in 2000. Luthera was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton and enjoyed playing cards, gardening and preserving the garden produce, and traveling. She also enjoyed wintering in Arizona for 32 years, talking politics, keeping the family history through her diary, and was an avid Minnesota Twins and Seattle Mariners fan. Luthera Arnone died June 12, 2012, in Minneapolis at the age of 89 years. She is survived by son Kenneth and wife Carmen Arends of Lamberton; daughter Dianne Masher of Minneapolis; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters- Marjorie and husband Floyd Imker of Lamberton, and Betty Jaeger of Lucan; and brother Vernon and wife Evelyn Albers of Redwood Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands- Roland, Ed and Ernie; sister Leona and husband Leo Krussmark; brother Harold and wife Irene Subbert; brother-in-law Orlin Jaeger; and great-grandson Zachary Smith.
