Lucille Petterson

Lucille (Weidenbach) Petterson, the daughter of Theodore and Lena Harms (Malo) was born on December 31, 1919 in Martin County, MN. Lucille was baptized and confirmed. She graduated from Granada High School. She was united in marriage to Raymond Weidenbach in 1937, this marriage was blessed with 4 children. Lucille and Raymond farmed until 1964 when they moved to St. James. After Raymond's death, Lucille later married Herb Petterson in 1973. Lucille was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in St. James. She served as an elder and deacon and was also a Sunday school teacher. She was also famous for making delicious buns and selling them at the church auction or serving them at church events. Lucille was a talented seamstress; she made a wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, and quilts for her family. She altered many people's clothing. Lucille enjoyed her children and grandchildren, traveling and watching the MN Twins. Lucille is survived by her children, Janice (Jerome) Becker of Truman, Donna (Dennis) Lanning of Buffalo, NY, Darryl (Sue) Weidenbach of Kennsington, MN, and Darwin Weidenbach of San Diego, CA; 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 7 siblings and a daughter-in-law.
