Lois Kramer, 63, of Godahl, MN, left this world unexpectedly at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale Monday, July 23, 2012 to join the angels in Heaven. Memorial services will be 1:00pm, Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James with Rev. Robert Springer officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 4pm until 8pm and again on Saturday an hour before services. Burial will follow at Albion Lutheran Cemetery. Lois was born on May 2, 1949, in Fairmont, MN; the third of Gilbert and Charlotte (Wohlenhaus) Brown's four daughters. Following the death of her parents at the age of 4, she was raised first by her grandma and grandpa, Dietrich and Josephine Wohlenhaus; and then starting in 1957, by her aunt and uncle, Joe and Jessie Wohlenhaus. She graduated from Butterfield High School in 1967; from there she pursued many interests in life and loved many in the process. Eventually she found her happiness on a farm near Godahl, MN, farming, raising sheep, caring for horses, loving dogs, cats and raccoons and operating a dog boarding business. She is survived by her three sons, Jason (Melody) Haugen of Greenwood, AR; Axel Kramer of Stillwater, MN; and Joe Kramer of Godahl, MN; two sisters, Marilyn Peterson of Port Edwards, WI, and Joyce Brown of Show Low, AZ; four grandchildren, Alyssa (Lonnie) Segura and their daughter Lily of Owatonna, MN; Stephanie Meier, of Charlotte, NC; Christopher Haugen and Addie Mae Haugen of Greenwood, AR; three nieces, Brenda (Mark) Crubaugh of Littleton, CO; Tessa Thulien of Peoria, IL; and Josie Thulien of Madelia, MN; best friend, Larry Kramer of Godahl, MN; her two special dogs, Sammi Jo and Loki, and numerous other beloved relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sister, Loretta Thulien; niece, Marcia Gunderson; brother-in-law, Nelvin Pete Peterson, and many aunts, uncles, extended family and special pets. Her family will remember her best for her hugs, attentive ear, energetic spirit, unflappable love for them and devotion to animals. There will just never be another Loie.
