Lloyd Elmer Peanuts Strong was born on June 5th 1933, the son of Roy and Anna (Weiss) Strong in Sleepy Eye MN. He grew up in Home Township near Golden Gate. He served in the Army from 1952 to 1954 stationed mainly in Germany. He married Eleanor Zuhlsdorf on May 9th 1956. Lloyd drove truck for Moorman's Feed Company for 26 years, semi retiring in 1996. He enjoyed working part time with close friends at Farmers Elevator until 2004. He was an active member of the VFW and Honor Guard. He loved hunting, mushroom hunting, fishing, playing cards, and bowling. He was inducted into the Bowler's Hall of Fame on March 29th 2004. He always looked forward to hearing the latest jokes and telling a few of his own. One of his favorite hobbies was fixing small engines for lawn and garden equipment. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor of Sleepy Eye, and children, Dan (Beth) Strong of Lakeville, Corinne (Kim) Mertz of Sleepy Eye, Quinn Strong (Cheryl Smith) of Thief River Falls, Travis (Carmen) Strong of Sleepy Eye, and Clint (Marcie) Strong of Sleepy Eye, 10 Grandchildren, and 7 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Wilbert, and Elroy, and sisters Ellen Lux, Evangeline Topsy Bishop, Rosella Kuster, and Grandson Cole Mertz.
