Leroy Stiehm

84 year old LeRoy D. Stiehm of Sleepy Eye, MN died Monday, August 4th, 2008 at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center. LeRoy Delmar Stiehm was born on February 23, 1924 in Gibbon, MN, the son of Ferdinand Hulda (Possin) Stiehm. He served in the United States Army from November 27, 1944 until retiring on February 28, 1969. After his military service LeRoy made his home in Sleepy Eye where he volunteered for many organizations. He was an active member of New Hope Community Church in Sleepy Eye and was also a member of the Sleepy Eye American Legion and the VFW. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his, parents, twelve brothers and sisters, Benjamin Stiehm, Ferdinand Stiehm, Jr., Valena Woods, Herbert Stiehm, Mathilda Buboltz, Ervin Stiehm, Viola Stiehm, Gladys Wustner, Lillian Bowler, Lorraine Schwartz, Melvin Stiehm and Mavis Franke.
