Leonard Lowinske

February 9, 1925 — August 2, 2014

Leonard Emil was born on February 9, 1925 in Sleepy Eye the son of Fred Minnie (Seidl) Lowinske. He grew up and attended school in Sleepy Eye. Leonard enlisted in the US army on March 30, 1945 and served until his honorable discharge in December of 1946. Leonard worked for the Sasse family farm and also drove truck for a cement company in New Ulm. He married Lylla Dietz on April 16th 1952 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. The couple made their home in Sleepy Eye. Leonard enjoyed fishing and bowling. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and VFW in Sleepy Eye. Survivors include his sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife in 2007, brothers, Pete Ed and a sister in childhood.
