Leona Wenisch

Leona Elizabeth (Haas) Wenisch, resident of Gil-Mor Manor, Morgan, MN was born into eternal life on April 5, 2013. The daughter of Pete and Kate (Kastner) Haas, she was born June 15th, 1924 in Springfield, MN. She married Bernard Nicholas Wenisch on October 28, 1941 at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield. Leona was a lifelong member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield. She loved to play cards, was an avid gardener, and enjoyed spending time with her family and especially grand and great grandchildren. Surviving to honor her memory are her children: Alan (Anne) Wenisch of Springfield, MN, Jon (Jan) Wenisch of Springfield, MN, Beth (Russ) Hacker of Sleepy Eye, MN, Gary (Jean) Wenisch of Cedar Rapids, IA. Grandchildren: Stacie Vos, Cold Springs, MN, Tricia (Loren) Nerison of Austin, MN, Kathy (Matt) Engen of Minneapolis, MN, Adam (Sarah) Wenisch of Springfield, MN, Cory (Christa) Wenisch of Springfield, MN, Shari (Jarod) Baxter of Holman, WI, Konni (Jeremy) Rummel of Algona, IA, Angela and Christine Hinkley of Minneapolis, MN, Claire and Grace Wensich of Cedar Rapids, IA. Leona is also survived by 21 great grandchildren. Leona was preceded in death by her husband Bernard, grandsons Christopher and Brian Hinkley and Nicholas Wenisch, and all of her brothers and sisters.
