Holley, Leo M., Age 85, of St. James, MN passed away peacefully on June 27, 2008 after battling complications of a stroke. Leo was a WWII US Army veteran and long-time resident of St. James where he and his wife Bertie operated a successful furniture restoration and upholstery business until their retirement. Leo was preceded in death by his wife Edna (Bertie); parents Walter and Elsie Holley, brothers Walter Jr. Holley, Lecil, Holley and sister, Lola Thiemann. He is survived by his loving daughter Connie (Holley) Holland, brothers Duane and Darrell Holley, and two very special granddaughters Jody (Holland) Pederson and Kacy (Holland) Wood who gifted Leo with four beautiful great-granddaughters and two great grandsons. Leo was known by all for his interest, concern and devotion to his family and friends, love of children, wit, sense of humor and of course, his "gift of gab". He will be greatly missed. Heartfelt thanks are extended to the nurses, staff and volunteers at Pleasant View Good Samaritan Society Care Home in St. James. Their years of gentle care, love and dedication to sustain his quality of life will never be forgotten. No service will be held in St. James MN. Graveside memorial service and internment will be held at the Ansley Custer County Cemetery in Ansley, Nebraska with dates and times to be announced at later time.
