Kenneth Sell

Kenneth Francis Sell was born on February 28, 1936, the son of Jacob and Susan (Welter) Sell in Sundown Township, Redwood County, MN. Ken was raised in the Clements area and attended Morgan Public School. He enlisted in the United States Army and served from 1955 to 1958. On April 8, 1961, Ken was united in marriage to Marilyn Jensen in Clements. Ken farmed after serving in the Army and after retiring Marilyn and Ken moved into Springfield. He served on the Sanborn Elevator Board, was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and later St. Raphael's Catholic Church, and was a Lion's member. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, farming, cars and trucks, making diamond willow walking sticks, hiking in Arizona, and time at the lake. Ken died on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at his home in Springfield, at the age of 85. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Sell, son Kenneth (Kathleen) Sell, daughter Catherine (Jan) Holdeman, grandchildren - Kenneth, Michael, and Alexander Sell, brother Valerius Sell, and sister-in-law Eileen Sell. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and siblings - Eugene, Milton, and Florence, and sister-in-law Rosalyn. Memorials preferred to the donor's choice.
