Katherine Siebel

Katherine Siebel, age 97, of Fairmont, died on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. A private memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James with Fr Andrew Beerman officiating. Burial will be at Mt Hope Cemetery at a later date. Clara Katherine Siebel was born June 9,1924 to Louis and Agnes Passon (Kabus) of Staples, MN. She was the 3rd of 9 children. She grew up on a farm by Staples, MN. After graduating school, she attended Minnesota School of Business in the Twin Cities, for corporate accounting and telephone switch board operator. She worked in a garment factory making gloves and mittens. She was also an accounting secretary for Brock & White Cement and Stone Products. On December 30,1948 she was united in marriage with Kenneth Siebel, starting a 72-year union with him. They made their home in Columbia Heights. After retiring she and Ken moved to Lewisville, before moving again to Fairmont in 2017. Katherine is survived by her husband Ken. Sister, Maryann Arco, brother, Lewis (Sonny) Passon, and sister-in-law, Norma Busse, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and 6 of her siblings and their spouses. Christine (John) Mattison, Margaret (Anthony) Barrett, Bert (Norma) Passon, Lenard (Junette) Passon, Lucille Passon, Eugene (Lil) Passon. Brother in laws, Richard Arco, Ervin Busse, and Loren and Ruth (Siebel) Gilman.
