Judy Anderson, age 72, of St. James, died on Monday, July 26, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00am, Monday, August 2, 2021 at St. James Catholic Church in St. James. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday, a Christian Mothers Rosary will be recited at 10:00am at the church on Monday. Burial will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls at a later date. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in St. James. Judy Ann (Heurung) Anderson was born on February 27, 1949, to Fredrick and Philomena (Dengel) Heurung in Little Falls, MN. Judy graduated from Little Falls High School and was wed to Keith Anderson on May 17, 1969. Judy and Keith had three children: Lisa Anderson (Jeff Gunning), Tammy Fehrman (Robb), and Keith Jr. (Josie). Judy and Keith moved to Saint James in the late 1970's. Judy worked for the Hometown Caf and then later started a daycare. Judy loved her daycare kids and had formed life-long friendships with them. Judy was an avid gardener of both vegetables, flowers, and shrubs. Judy loved sharing the bounty of the vegetables she grew with family and friends. Judy loved cooking for friends and family; chances are you have a favorite meal or dish that she has cooked for you! Judy was also a meticulous housekeeper; everything was "just so." If you made a mess or messed with the order of things, you were going to catch a little grief from her with a finger shook at you, although lovingly. Judy loved to spoil and spend time with her grandkids: Carter, Mason, Sage, Layton, and Piper. Judy passed peacefully on July 26, 2021, with family at her side; she was 72 years of age. She is survived by her husband Keith Anderson of St. James,children; Lisa Anderson (Jeff Gunning of Rosemount, Tammy (Robb) Fehrman of St. James, Keith Jr. (Josie) Anderson of St. James, 5 grandchildren, sister Florence Piekarski of Little Falls, brother-in-law Wayne (Judy) Anderson of Rice and numerous nieces and nephews.
