Jocelyn Zieske

Jocelyn Amelia Leona Zieske was born on November 17, 1915 in Redwood County, MN the daughter of August and Eva (Hammond) Boelke. She grew up and attended school in Lamberton. Jocelyn married Fred Zieske on February 14, 1934 at Methodist Episcopal Church in Lamberton. After marriage they farmed 6 miles northeast of Lamberton for several years before moving to Sleepy Eye in 1941. Fred preceded her in death on October 15, 1981. Jocelyn worked at Haas Press, Del Monte Foods, Sleepy Eye Public School's kitchen and the Orchid Inn. She married Dan Sasse on January 20, 1990 in Sleepy Eye. The couple made their home in Sleepy Eye. Dan preceded her in death on September 16, 1998. She was an active member of Brown County Home Extension, Church Circle, Square Dancing and Card Clubs. She loved to sew and garden. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Trebesch of New Ulm, Marion Rolloff of New Ulm, 6 grandchildren; Danny Buggert, Kari Buggert, Clark (Kim) Trebesch, Patricia (Joey) Zupfer, Eva (Joel) Carlson, Eric (Jen) Rolloff, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Fred Zieske and Dan Sasse, daughter, Janice Buggert and son-in-law, James Rolloff.
