Jeanette Oskerson, age 64, of St. James, died on Monday, August 27, 2012, at Mayo Clinic Health System - St. James. Memorial services will be 5:00pm, Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James with Pastor Jim Sprague officiating. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home beginning at 3:00pm. Jeanette Marie Mausling was born May 23, 1948 in St. James the daughter of Carl and Josephine (Fontain) Mausling. She grew up and attended school in St. James. On January 17, 1969, she was united in marriage to Darrell Oskerson in Sioux Falls, SD. She worked at Tony Downs Foods, Green Giant, Swift, Happy Chef, Hometown Cafe and Numart-Cenex over the years. She had been a homemaker since 2001. Jeanette enjoyed fishing, bowling, pool, needle crafts, keno, dice and card games especially man or mouse. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandkids and special friends. Also her extended family that she helped raise during her lifetime. Jeanette is survived her husband Darrell Oskerson of St. James, sons; Todd Oskerson Linda of Butterfield, Joe Oskerson of Burnsville, daughter; Lisa (Bo) Taylor of St. James, grandchildren; Owen, Victoria, Abbigal, siblings, Chuck (Sharon) Mausling of Reno, NV, Roseann (Ray) Sender of Lewisville, KS, Viola Grisson of Aurora, CO, Jerry (Shar) Mausling of St. James, David (Rosita) Mausling of San Diego, CA, and special friend Bernice Gray of Butterfield. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother; James, sister; Betty Knaack and her husband Jeff, grandson Anthony, parents-in-law and other relatives.
