Gregory "Greg" Soukup

Gregory was born on April 3, 1921 on the farm in Stark Township the son of Charles and Amelia (Ruffing) Soukup. He attended District #27 Country School. Greg made his First Communion at St. Mary's Catholic Church on May 22, 1932 and was confirmed on November 13, 1935. His heart was with the farm and he enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing.His nieces and nephews and their children were special to him and his Catholic Faith strengthened him throughout his life. He had deep gratitude to all at Divine Providence where he made his home the last three years. God Bless All! Greg is survived by his sisters Adele Goblirsch and Cordella Soukup both at Divine, Joan Portner of Sleepy Eye, nieces and nephews, Nancy (John) Wolf, Joyce (Bill) Kuehn, Cindy (Keith) Scheid, Dean (Stacy) Goblirsch, Thomas (Mary) Portner, Mark (Lisa) Portner, great nieces and nephews, Jayson (Kaitlyn) Wolf, Megan and Noah Scheid, Kyle and Kayla Goblirsch, Boston, Sabrina, Isabella, Crystal, and Sophia Portner, Rachel, Jared, Dustin and Blake Portner, step-nieces, Carol Jean and Joyce Portner, Mavis (Thomas) Vermaak, step-nephew, Harry (Leslie) Portner. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Harold Portner and nephew, Thomas Goblirsch.
