Glennis Miller

July 28, 1927 — July 20, 2010

Glennis 'Bud' Arthur Miller was born July 28, 1927 to Arthur and Odelia (Lother) Miller in Springfield, MN. He attended elementary school in Evan and graduated from Sleepy Eye High School in 1945. Bud then enlisted in the Navy for 11 months and later attended 2 years of college at Mankato State and 1 year at University of Minnesota. After his schooling he returned to work with his father at Evan Implement. He was united in marriage to Joan Jensen at Brookville Lutheran Church in Brookville Township on April 17, 1951. In 1964, when his father retired, the family moved to Sleepy Eye where Bud went into partnership with Norbert Sellner and formed Miller Sellner Implement. Bud was a supporter and leader of the local Boy Scout organization, past member of the Sleepy Eye Chamber of Commerce where he served as president, an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served on many boards and was also in various agricultural organizations. He enjoyed sports - especially the Twins, Vikings and Gophers, fishing, cards and pool. He also enjoyed talking with people, giving advice, traveling, 'cruising' implement dealerships and looking at crops. Spending time playing games and enjoying his family was especially important to Bud. Glennis Miller, 82, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center.
