Gary Green

Gary Warren Green was born September 17, 1948 in Comfrey, MN, the son of Warren and Helen (Anderson) Green. He was a graduate of Comfrey High School and attended Jackson Vocational Technical College before being drafted into the U.S. Army in May of 1968. Following his honorable discharge in 1970, Gary lived in Minneapolis where he worked for Northwestern Bell and later drove truck for New Ulm Freight. Gary was united in marriage to Linda Gartner on April 25, 1974 and May 11, 1974 in Apple Valley, MN.The couple moved to Comfrey in 1976 and in 1978 Gary began his business, G G Sales. He was a member of the Albin Johnson American Legion Post #244, and a life member of the Robbinsdale VFW, the NRA, and the MWCA (Minnesota Weapons Collectors Association). Gary enjoyed guns, his internet business, and his dog Bailey. Gary Warren Green died Saturday, February 5, 2005 at his home near Comfrey at the age of 56 years. Survivors include wife- Linda; daughters- Michelle 'Missy' and husband Scott Schroepfer of Comfrey, and Angela Green of New Ulm; grandchildren- Hannah, Kathryn and Jack Schroepfer; father- Warren and wife Ella Green of Mountain Lake; sisters- Gail and husband Gary Lingbeek of Comfrey, Gean and husband Loren Schumacher of Comfrey, and Gwen and husband Kenny Lang of Springfield; mother-in-law- Dorothy Gartner of Austin, MN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Helen in 1993.
