Frederick Fritz Lawrence Ludewig Fritz Ludewig, 74 of Springfield died May 29, 2012 at Wood Dale Nursing Home after a long battle of cancer. He was born June 1,1937 in Leavenworth, MN to Ray and Gertrude (Schumacher) Ludewig. On June 11,1937 he was baptized at the Japanese Martyrs Church and on June 5,1974 he married Judith Wurmstein of Springfield,MN. His interests included inventing with patent-a-pitch, baseball, philosophy and listening to Johnny Cash and polka music. He was loved and cherished by his family and many friends throughout the community. He is survived By Children Suzanne Ludewig of Redwood Falls, Philip Ludewig of Redwood Falls, Casey (Alison) Ludewig of Richfield, Trace Ludewig of Coon Rapids, Step-children Dan(Deb) Turbes of Revere, Jodie Turbes of Saint Paul, Lisa Turbes of New Ulm, 11 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Brothers, Matt (Verna) Ludewig of Fairfax, Charlie (Marlys) Ludewig of Morgan, David (Marietta) Ludewig of Sleepy Eye; and sister Adeline (Eddy) Braulick of Sleepy Eye and Brother-in-law Bruce (Debra) Wurmstein of Sleepy Eye. He was preceded in death by his Wife Judith, Parents Ray and Gertrude, step-son James Turbes and brothers Felix, Leonard, Ben and Cyril.
