Evelyn Redman

July 19, 1925 — December 9, 2008

Evelyn was born July 19, 1925 to Minehart and Sophie (Jeske) Werner. She was baptized by Rev. Adleman in the Germantown Evangelical Church, rural Sanborn. She joined the church at age 14, while G.G. Davis was pastor. On September 16, 1942, Evelyn married Algernon E. Redman at the E.U.B. parsonage in Springfield. She was an active member of the Germantown E.U.B. Church. She taught Sunday School was leader of Boy's and Girl's Fellowship and director of Bible School. She was also active in the W.S.W.S. - the women's organization of the church, holding the offices of president and secretary. She was assistant pianist in the church and also custodian for many years. When the Germantown United Methodist Church closed, she joined the Lamberton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed writing cards and letters to family and friends, reading, baking and best of all being with her great grandchildren. Evelyn Mae Redman, age 83 of Lamberton, MN died December 9, 2008 at Season's Hospice in Redwood Falls, MN. Survivors include sons - LeRoy and Kris Redman of Lamberton, Loren (Butch) and Susan Redman of Lamberton; daughters Karen Redman of Rochester, MN, Marcelle and Kenneth Warner of Mapleton, MN, Sharon and Terry Skinner of Belleville, KS; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband - Algernon in July 1985; parents Minehart and Sophie Werner; two brothers - Rolland and Rev. Earl Werner.
