Evelyn Mae Lingbeek

THE FRIDAY VISITATION HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE WEATHER. Evelyn Mae Lingbeek was born on May 13, 1919 to Herbert and Martha (Walters) Anacker in Selma Township, Cottonwood County, MN. She attended country school in District #27 and then graduated in 1937 from St. James High School. Evelyn was united in marriage to Hilko Lingbeek on March 18, 1941, at the Christian Reformed Parsonage. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, embroidery, and her family. She was active in her church, serving as Deacon, teaching Sunday school, confirmation, and Bible school at Salem Lutheran Church. Evelyn served on the St. John Lutheran Home Board of Directors for several years and also the Auxiliary where she served as President. She is survived by sons - Gary (Gail) Lingbeek of Comfrey, Donald Lingbeek of Redwood Falls, Dennis (Jill) Lingbeek of Pensacola, FL, Joel (Barbara) Lingbeek of Renville, Chuck (Connie) Lingbeek of Hutchinson, Clark Lingbeek of Comfrey; daughter Ruth Ann (John) Sweeney of Larimore, ND; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; brother Kenneth (Janyce) Anacker of Mt. Lake; sister-in-law Darlain Anacker of Fairmont; brother-in-law Dick Siefkes of New Ulm; and numerous nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband Hilko in 1992; daughter-in-law Patricia; granddaughter Twyla Lingbeek; sisters- Gladys Stahl, Mabel Regehr, LuVerne Siefkes, and Betty Siefkes; and brothers Leonard and Walter Anacker.
