Emma Marie Lenz was born on May 17, 1914 in Adrian, MN, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Dorn) Suedkamp. She attended school in Adrian and kept house for various families in Adrian. She was united in marriage to Bernard N. Lenz on September 15, 1936 at St. Adrian Church. The couple moved to Ellsworth where she raised 6 children. Emma also worked as a housekeeper for the priests in Ellsworth, at the Campbell's Soup Factory in Worthington, and was a nurse's aid for 10 years. She was an active member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellsworth where she participated in women's groups and CCW. Emma enjoyed sewing club, fishing, playing cards, baking homemade breads, rolls, and pies. She lived with her daughter Agnes in Minneapolis until moving to St. John Lutheran Home in August of 2007. Emma died on Monday, September 14, 2009 at the Springfield Medical Center in Springfield at the age of 95 years. She is survived by her children - Peg Herrmann and her children - Deb Herrmann, Julie (Jim) Leichty, Jim (Lisa) Herrmann, Joe Herrmann, and Ellen Herrmann; Tom and wife Theresa Lenz and their children - Vicky Fiore, Barbara Johnson, Joanne (Jeff) Morris, and Bernard (Darcy) Lenz; Ruth and Cleve Fults and their children - David Fults and Kim (Kent) Anacker; Monica and her husband Norman Junker and their children - Brandon(Angela) and Stephanie (Chad) Armstrong; Philip and wife Diane Lenz and their children - Todd (Amanda) Lenz and Star (Steve) Bickford; and Agnes Lenz; great grandchildren - Benjamin, John, Anthony, Justin, Nickolas, Bricker, Lillian, David, Tyler, Ryan, Sabrina, Tom, Benjamin, Daniel, Riley, McKinley, Chase, Keara, Nate, Elizabeth, Mathew, and Luke ; a sister - Marge (Vince) Wieneke; and a brother-in-law - Greg Luettel. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband - Bernard; a son-in-law - Mike Herrmann; brothers - Jack, Clem, and George; sisters - Lib, Phil, Marie, and Agnes; sisters-in-law - Louise Suedkamp, Margaret Suedkamp, Sister Borromeo, Sister Cassian, Sister Vincentia, Julia, Elizabeth, Helena, Genevieve, Cecilia, and Carola; brothers-in-law - Al Nytes, Edward Lenz, Raymond Lenz, and Dominic Kellen.
