Elfrieda Louise (Glienke) Senf was born November 3, 1912, the daughter of Carl Fredrick Glienke and Martha Caroline Mumme at Okabena, MN. She was baptized on November 17, 1912, at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Okabena. The family then moved to a farm near South Branch where she attended school through the eighth grade. She was confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran Church in South Branch, her confirmation verse was Revelations 3 vs 20. On November 3, 1935, she was united in marriage to Victor William Senf at St. Johns Lutheran Church in South Branch. They were blessed with 5 children Charles Martin (Linda) Senf of St. James, Warren Lee Senf (deceased) of St. James, Judith Ann Junker of St. James, Karen Louise Junker of St. James, and Michael David (Cynthia) Senf of Starbuck, MN, she has 18 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren. Elfrieda was a homemaker, who enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She also worked at several jobs in Lewisville and St. James areas. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in St. James for 79 years, where she was involved in Ladies Aid and the Alter Guild. She loved to travel, crochet, quilt and above all spend time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, 1 brother, 2 sisters, 2 grandsons, 2 granddaughters and 1 great-granddaughter. Mom had a great life and was grateful for every day of it.
