June Bayerkohler passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Pleasant View Good Samaritan Society in St. James. Eleanor June Sinnen was born June 5, 1928 at Upland, Nebraska the daughter of John and Henrietta (Schultz) Sinnen. June grew up in the Okabena, MN, area where she graduated from High School. On June 9, 1946 she married Ordway Bayerkohler in Okabena. The couple made their home in New York while Ordy was in the service and in Minneapolis before moving to St. James in 1948. The couple raised their family in St. James, Ordy ran his construction business and June did his book work and worked at Scherr-Tumico and JC Penney. June was active in St. Pauls Lutheran Church serving at a Sunday school teacher for over 30 years, she also served in the Ladies Aid. June was also involved in the American Legion Auxiliary where she helped with poppy sales and recording club history. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needle point and was a wonderful seamstress. She also enjoyed fishing, bowling and crafts. June is survived by her daughters, Donna Forester of Port Richey, FL, Phyllis (Roger) Frenzel of St. James, Paulette (Douglas) Livdahl of New Lisbon, WI, grandchildren, Brian DaBruzzi, Paul Forester, Mandy (Michael) Richie, Garrett Forester, Bradley DeWall, Curtis DeWall, James (Jennifer) Niemeier, great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Richie, Brandon Richie, Darci McNeal, Cameron DeWall, Ethan DeWall, Jack Niemeier, Joseph Niemeier and great-great-granddaughter Sarah Rose. Also surviving is her sister Esther Bartels of Franklin, Nebraska. She is preceded in death by her husband Ordway, parents, grandson Anthony DaBruzzi, bother Dwaine Sinnen and sisters Dorothy Bartels and Norma Aden.
